THE SS22 PRESENTATION
Showing on the official London Fashion Week schedule, RAY CHU opted for a digital presentation titled ‘I Heart You’ for Spring Summer ‘22. Inspired by the freedom to love, the fast-paced fashion film was set against a clean backdrop and invited LGBTQ individuals from various industries to partake, echoing how the designer strongly values inclusivity. It also showcased an exclusive collaboration with artist Loli Yang, with artworks depicting intimate fantasies.
The collection focuses on three key colours: a pastel-but-punchy lavender, a sweet and buttery lemon, and a glossy black to reflect feelings of euphoria and endorphins when you connect with somebody new. Designed to empower, the sleek and modern tailoring that we’ve come to know and love from previous drops makes a welcome return, along with deconstructed elements and graphic cutouts. A new ‘Melting Heart’ motif featured throughout, along with some seriously fun jewellery and accessories that have got ‘Street Style’ (or Instagram) hits written all over them, including a ‘Darling, Call Me Tonight’ flask with a chain.
