From vintage dresses to repurposed materials, discover the stars who celebrated eco-friendly fashion

Emily Ratajkowski

Another star to opt for vintage: Ratajkowski’s dress was from a 1992 Versace collection, and was last worn by model Yasmeen Ghauri on the catwalk.

Kim Kardashian

If you had to pick one vintage dress, which one would it be? Well, it seems that Kim Kardashian chose the right one: Marylin Monroe’s iconic Jean-Louis dress from 1962.

Emma Stone

Emma Stone followed the ‘Rewear’ principle in sustainable fashion and wore her wedding gown, a bespoke Louis Vuitton white, feathered dress with delicate lace details and silk.

Billie Eilish

Sustainability has always been important for Billie Eilish and she decided to go for a completely upcycled Gucci gown. “I just wanted to be as eco-friendly as possible,” she said on the red carpet, explaining that the dress had been created for her by Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele, but made from entirely upcycled fabrics.

Amber Valetta

Supermodel Amber Valletta chose this high-shine, pleated, 1980s design by Azzaro. Her stylist, Karla Welch, sourced it from LA-based boutique Aralda Vintage.
